As part of our bicentenary celebrations we are creating a ‘200 fund’ and inviting donations towards the improvement of the facilities in our hall. Our ambition is to enlarge and refit the kitchen, create much needed storage and bring more daylight in through roof lights, so that this much used building will be ready to serve the community here at Aston Clinton well into the 21st century.
The congregation will be holding a Gift Day in March and we hope this will go some way towards the required £50,000. In addition, external funding is being pursued from various grant making bodies and we wondered if any within the community would like to contribute to the ‘200 fund’.
An enlarged kitchen will greatly assist us in supplying meals to folk in the community, not just at Christmas time but on a weekly basis. We also envisage developing life-skills that would include simple meal preparation and cooking for young carers and others who struggle with life, other community projects are also in the pipeline.
