Aston Clinton Baptist Church was founded in 1820. We are a busy Church, with lots of things going on and a breadth of different ministries occurring. We are a group of people who genuinely love our God, each other and those outside of the Church body. We have a range of links with the community at many levels, and our profile with others is positive.
Naturally one of our main focuses is the Sunday services. We are grateful to God because the presence of the Lord is being increasingly known and felt during our times together, and the speaking from God’s word, and our worship, is passionate and heartfelt. We are always trying to be relevant to the 21st century and see God’s truths lived out, and this is borne out by our approach to God’s word on Sundays and throughout our everyday lives. We are progressively aiming to make Jesus at the centre of our lives, in what we do and say.
We offer many different groups and our ministries include:
We are an open group of people who are genuinely interested in the lives of those we meet, and as a Church we are growing spiritually and numerically with an increased sense of belonging to one another. Many newcomers have found a sense of family here, and as that is so we cordially invite you come and visit us. We would love to see you.
When you decide to visit us, you can be assured of a very warm welcome! When you arrive, you will be warmly greeted at the door, and we can help you find a place to sit on a comfortable chair.
Standing to sing is optional – sit during the service if you prefer.
Songs we sing are projected onto a screen at the front – hymn books are available if you prefer. Our singing is mainly modern, with traditional hymns from time to time, all led from the front by our music and worship groups.
There is also a copy of the bible in front of every seat for you to read as you wish.
Our usual Sunday Services, consist of singing, prayer times, bible readings, a sermon, often including personal testimonies all to the Glory of God and the blessing and building up of each other.
On the first Sunday of every month we have a more informal Family Service during which the children remain with us instead of leaving for their own Junior Church classes.
At the end of the service, there is free tea, coffee and biscuits served in the hall behind the church, and we would love to welcome you there for a social time.
